BIRD’S HILL PROVINCIAL PARK An example of sustainable design, the building featured on this page includes a number of strategies which results in a high performance green building. This includes sawtooth lighting, light shelves, high efficiency lighting, water use reduction through ultra low flow showers and toilets, waterless urinals, heat recovery through waste water, passive solar energy collection for water pre-heat, and a green roof. The building is also of concrete construction which is non-combustible, durable, low maintenance, vandal resistant, green building material.
