SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST - MMP ARCHITECTS.
MMP Architects Inc. is currently accepting applications for the position of Architectural Technologist to join our growing team. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who is a critical thinker, self-motivated, and passionate about the industry to assist our architects to deliver quality, sustainable design solutions

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare working drawings; Assist in design development; analyze technical documents and reports; Computer-aided design (CAD)

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

  • Revit experience or other 3D modelling/rendering skills is a must

  • Fundamental Manitoba Building Code Comprehension considered an asset

  • Ability to stay organized while working on more than one project at differing stages of development

  • Be able to support Project Managers and/or Architects with strong technical drawing skills.

  • Perform building layouts, design refinements, and envelope detailing

  • Understand the assembly of contract documents.

  • Create and respond to request from contractors (RFI)

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Education and experience:

  • Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience.


INTERIOR DESIGNER - MMP ARCHITECTS.
We are looking to add an Interior Designer to the MMP team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in project development during schematic design, design development, and construction documentation phases.

  • Knowledge and application of Construction Administration processes along with on-site observations.

  • Assist in the development of furniture, fixtures, and equipment packages including research, selection, and documentation of products.

  • Research, select, and document overall interiors packages for a variety of architectural projects.

  • Develop architectural concepts and space plans either autonomously or collaboratively as required.

  • Produce highly accurate 3D models and architectural drawings for conceptual presentations.

  • Develop architectural details in collaboration with Architectural Technicians.

  • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project.

Education and experience:

  • Professional degree from an accredited University.

  • 5 years post graduate, professional experience in the planning and design of significant interior projects.

  • Have a PIDIM membership or eligibility.

  • Planning and design experience in health care, hospitality, education/daycare, commercial and/or corporate interiors.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and project management skills combined with Revit/AutoCAD and graphic presentation skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and structures related to interiors.
