CentreVenture is an arms-length agency of the City of Winnipeg that acts as an advocate for business investment, development and economic growth in downtown Winnipeg. Employees of the organization are led by a volunteer board of directors who together develop and implement strategies to identify and capitalize on economic, physical, and social development opportunities in Winnipeg’s downtown region.
This morning Winnipeg’s Executive Policy Committee (EPC) approved the appointment of six new board members, and one re-appointed member to the CentreVenture board of directors. MMP Principal Architect Chris Daly is among the list of new members to the council chaired by Mayor Brian Bowman. Chris brings a wealth of downtown development experience to the board, drawing on his 15+ years of experience in the architectural and business sectors.
Candidates will assume their duties following a council vote to be held in one week’s time. We look forward to seeing what this new and diverse CentreVenture board of directors will accomplish for the City of Winnipeg’s downtown area.
