About
The Springfield Place project consists of a 26,000 square-foot new building that includes Senior independent living suites and supportive housing units.  The project is a joint venture between Manitoba Housing, Kin Place Oakbank, and the North Eastern Health Authority with the RM of Springfield's cooperation.

Key aspects of the design include full landscape works, a commercial kitchen capable of providing meal services three times a day and two multipurpose rooms. In addition, each wing includes a solarium space and exterior patios for residents.

All supportive units were designed to exceed accessibility standards for both the suite washrooms and kitchens. The building also incorporates passive and active sustainable systems, including geothermal heating and cooling, power smart, compliant lighting, and energy-efficient insulation in the wall and roof assemblies as well as energy-efficient windows.
